Dr. Marcus Johnson

My whole life I’ve been involved with sports in one way or the other. After a childhood of playing just about every sport through grade school, in high school I focused on gymnastics, and track & field. I competed in gymnastics on a national level, and was an All-state track & field sprinter/jumper in the 100m, and 200m sprints, and in the long jump. During my time in athletics, I’ve developed a love for health and physical fitness. My first experience with chiropractic showed me that there are several alternative ways of dealing with sports injuries, work place injuries, and general musculoskeletal pain. I learned that chiropractic care incorporates daily practices, that could prevent, help, and rid, people of certain musculoskeletal ailments that affect the majority of people at some point in their life.

In over ten-years of experience in the states of FL, and IL, I’ve successfully treated the following conditions; neck pain, back pain, sciatica, headaches, rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, and tennis elbow. I also have successfully treated auto, and work related injuries. The past six years of my career, has been focused on specifically orthopedic rehab of all sports injuries, as well as post-surgical rehab of all musculoskeletal procedures including knee and hip replacements.

I hold a doctorate degree in chiropractic, from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Fitness & Wellness, and an associate degree in Allied Health Pre-Physical Therapy, earning both degrees from Oakwood University of Huntsville, AL.

When it comes to health and wellness, it’s important to remember that everyone can feel better. By simply incorporating basic, and gradual steps into your daily routine, you can achieve your optimal health and fitness. It is my hope that you’ll allow me to serve you, by showing you how. We’ll see you soon at Gurnee Wellness Group.
